PRIESTLY ORDINATION IN KETA-AKATSI DIOCESE

Silver jubilee of the Keta –Akatsi Diocese is marked historically with the ordination of three deacons into the ministerial priesthood of Christ. This event took place on the 17th of October, 2020 at the St. Francis of Assisi Parish, Anloga. The ordaining Bishop was Most Rev. Anthony KwamI Adanuty, the Emeritus Bishop of the Diocese and in attendance was the Most Rev. Gabriel Edoe Kumordji, SVD, the Bishop of the Diocese.

Those ordained into this Holy order were Rev. Damian K. Horminu (SS. Peter &Paul Parish, Aflao) Rev. Emmanuel  A. Agbozo (Holy Trinity Parish, Tadzewu) and Rev. Federick P. Seddoh-Henyo (Christ the King Cathedral, Akatsi). In his homily, the ordaining Bishop encouraged them to be steadfast in prayer and their genuine fear of God, which he termed “KPOKPOMIASIS’ should move them closer to God.

The Parish Priest, Rev. Fr. John Tasiame, expressed joy for hosting a historic ordination rites to mark the 25th annicersay celebration of the Diocese as well as registering the second ordination being done in the history of the Parish. We wish them all the best.
